A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

Caution: DO NOT use email to report child abuse or neglect. It causes delays and confidentiality may not be ensured. Whenever you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, or at risk, please call the Illinois Child Abuse Hotline at 800-25-ABUSE (22873).

In non-emergency situations, you may report suspected child abuse or neglect using the new Online Reporting System.

For deaf and speech-impaired communication over the telephone, dial Illinois Relay at 711.

If you know the child's name and birthdate or age and can verify your relationship, the DCFS Advocacy Office for Children and Families can determine if your child is in the care of our Department.

They can also direct you to the Circuit Court involved with your child's case. The Clerk of the Circuit Court can provide other important information, such as the child's case number and the next scheduled court date.
