As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. All licensing representatives and staff remain ready to assist you. Child Well-Being

Vision: To expand, strengthen, research and evaluate well-being practices in Illinois.

Mission: Implement and support programs where youth and families can achieve their optimal well-being when provided with family-centered and person-centered care that focuses on and contributes to well-being.
