Brighter Futures
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is committed to ensuring that all children have safe, loving homes; and that children who come into the department’s care have brighter futures supported by quality services that promote their emotional, academic, social, behavioral, cognitive and physical well-being and development.
The Illinois DCFS Youth Advisory Board has created two short, animated videos to help our youth in care understand their rights and learn about available programs and services:
- "The Quest for Brightwood" for younger children aged 0-12
- "Your Journey, Your Rights" for older youth aged 13+
We thank our incredible board for the amazing job they did - from writing the scripts, creating the scenes and doing the voiceovers!
