Filing a Discrimination Complaint

Any DCFS employee or applicant for employment, any applicant or recipient of department services or any applicant or recipient of contractual services provided at the direction of DCFS may file a complaint.

If you feel that you have been discriminated against because of your race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, age, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, language, handicap/disability, military discharge or marital status in any terms of employment, conditions, compensation or privileges of employment, opportunities and/or service delivery practices, and you have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the problem with the immediate supervisor, you can file a complaint with the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act.

To file a complaint, complete the Discrimination Complaint Form and submit it to:
