Statewide Citizens Committee on Abuse/Neglect

The Statewide Citizens Committee on Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) was created with the object of advising and consulting with the director of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services regarding matters related to child abuse and neglect in Illinois, including increasing public awareness of child abuse and neglect and proper reporting procedures.
