As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. All licensing representatives and staff remain ready to assist you. Asian American Council

The general purpose of the Asian American Advisory Council is to advise and make recommendations to the DCFS director concerning the department’s service to Asian and Asian American clients; and of any issue involving Asian American personnel employed by, or applying for positions with, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
