As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. All licensing representatives and staff remain ready to assist you. Children and Family Services Advisory Council

The Council shall advise the Department of Children and Family Services with respect to services and programs for children and adults under its care. All members are appointed to serve four-year terms.
