As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. All licensing representatives and staff remain ready to assist you. Latino Advisory Council

The Latino Advisory Council (LAC) advises and makes recommendations to the DCFS director concerning the provision of services to Latino clients, and areas of concern involving Latino personnel. The LAC also ensures that all needs assessments that are conducted by the department are inclusive of Latino clients and Latino/bilingual personnel.
