As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. LAC Spanish Language Services Subcommittee

The Spanish Language Services (SLS) Subcommittee is involved with ensuring families receive culturally appropriate Spanish language services to achieve permanency as required by the Burgos Consent Decree and best practice. This subcommittee will collaborate with the Burgos Consent Decree Workgroup and provide feedback and suggestions about concerns or services provided.
