LAC Strategic Communications Subcommittee

The Latino Advisory Council’s Strategic Communications (SC) Subcommittee spearheads the creation of the Noticias Newsletter, a formal publication by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on behalf of the Latino Advisory Council, on at least a semiannual basis. The subcommittee also welcomes new staff to the department and the Latino Advisory Council and gathers information about promotions and milestone anniversaries of Latino/bilingual staff to highlight them via the Noticias Newsletter and/or electronic email. The subcommittee is also involved in reviewing and sharing of information about the Latino Advisory Council for meeting or membership purposes and keeping partners current on bilingual/Latino matters, including but not limited to, service provisions for the Latino community.
