As of July 1, 2026, child care licensure is managed by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood. For providers, nothing is changing. All licensing representatives and staff remain ready to assist you. SCAN Recommendations Subcommittee

Each year, as required by statute, the SCAN Committee must make annual recommendations. This subcommittee will help review the recommendations before they are submitted to the director and review the responses before they are disseminated back to the larger SCAN Committee.
